OfficeMax.com has the D-Link Wireless N Router DIR-615 on sale for $40 with free shipping. It supports a draft 802.11n standard, which may become obsolete if it isn't compatible with the eventual approved standard. A flash upgrade might alleviate that problem. [BizRate]
Is this a good router?
yes
I picked one of these up a couple weeks ago, and have had no problems with it. Took about 5 minutes to set up, the cd has step by step instructions and does all the work for you (except setting up your WEP security password).
#3 and WEP takes less time to crack than this took to set up. Switch to WPA.
When is Draft N going to become N? days, weeks, months, years?
I have this router and haven't had any problems with it. A lot of people that complain about routers don't know how to set up their network correctly.
#4, WPA takes 15 minutes to crack.

I setup this router up a couple of weeks ago - easy setup without any problems. Same price then at CircuitCity.
Someone else in another post mentioned the Airlink AR670W 150N Wireless Router at Frys for $20.
If you do a lot of BT downloading, this is not the right router for you, go get a linksys.
I scored this router for $35 at Best Try as part of a combo deal. I had it setup in a few minutes and haven't had an ounce of trouble with it.
And if a hacker can guess the SSID of my network, get past my MAC address filter, and crack the long string of random characters of my WPA key, then they deserve access to whatever it is they can see (usually my living room laptop looking up cheat codes on Gamefaqs). But I suspect they're having too much fun with the unsecured APs elsewhere on the block.
I've had this router for the past year or so. It goes down inexplicably every 2 weeks or so, and I always have a hard time getting it going again. Well, it finally crapped out forever recently. It is without doubt the single worst router I've ever used, and I've used quite a few. Yes, the few Linksys ones I've bought are still going strong - they're with other family members. This D-link is not recommended at any price.
#9 - Why is the Linksys better for BT than this router?
Thanks #8, I ordered Airlink yesterday night from Frys and its on its way to be delivered today. Very fast shipping.
What's a draft N? Is it not real "N"?
