NewEgg.com has the D-Link Wireless N Router DIR-615 on sale for $40 + $0 shipping = $40 shipped. Scroll to Combo deals to get the D-Link DWA-642 RangeBooster N Notebook Adapter for free with purchase. It supports a draft 802.11n standard, which may become obsolete if it isn't compatible with the eventual approved standard. A flash upgrade might alleviate that problem.

The draft 2.0 version will be incorporated in the ratified standard. The previous draft may not be compatible. This one does not look like a draft 2.0 version.

I think you're better off getting a router that's dd-wrt/tomato compatiable to insure upgradability of the firmware.

I did in fact see this model, the DIR-615, on the DD-WRT list of compatible devices. So this should solve a lot of the firmware issues. Can anyone confirm?

Why would you buy a router that's doesn't have gig ports??

Gig ports are mandatory for me. Dual transmitters a plus.
