NewEgg.com has the D-Link Wireless N Router DIR-615 on sale for $40 + $0 shipping = $40 shipped. Scroll to Combo deals to get the D-Link DWA-642 RangeBooster N Notebook Adapter for free with purchase. It supports a draft 802.11n standard, which may become obsolete if it isn't compatible with the eventual approved standard. A flash upgrade might alleviate that problem.

Bought this combo about a month ago, the router has been fine for me, but the DWA-642 seems to drop and retrain connection a lot, so I stopped using it. I've read other people are having the same problem, so be wary of that.

Otherwise, if you get lucky and it's not constantly dropping the wireless connection on you, it's an awesome deal.

#1 Just curious if you're using the 11n for normal household networking (and a related question, if any/all of your machines are also running at 11n?)...or if you're using the router to move larger packets (g, video streaming)? If you are using it for video, what's your impression of quality?

#1 try using the DWA-642 in G-mode instead of N, the connection may be stable then so you wouldn't end up with a completely useless card
