Actually, $99 would move them...
Why not spend a couple of bucks more and get a real NAS.
uh.. $300 for a 4bay enclosure with NO hard drives?? that seems a bit high, even with all the crap that this device claims to do well.
$300 and no drives? For $279 you can get a Seagate BlackArmor NAS 220 2-Bay 2 TB.
And NAS for this is an add on. The unit only comes with USB and Firewire. That's an extra $240.
Jeebus, and read the reviews on this thing.
Right. Read the reviews for the Seagate BlackArmor... 56% give it one egg! LOL Now that's shitty! Also, no self healing for NAS? Can't just drop in a drive to give it more storage like with the Drobo. Though, I agree its price needs to come down.
Drobos are nice, have one and got no issues with performance. But that price is ridunkulous even w/rebate.
