#3 it does do that resolution. The S2309W is 1920x1080 but the SP2309W(note the P in the model) is 2048x1152.

Definitely does do 2048x1152. I'm using one right now. It's an awesome monitor and the webcam is actually pretty good quality. It'd be nice to go above a 60hz refresh rate, but it's great otherwise.

I don't know that I'd call it "obliterating", but the extra is nice even on a 23".

I am using one also. It is a great monitor with deep contrast. Very easy to read and to game on it.

I love the extra resolution on this thing. Saved me from trying to justify the 27" iMac screen res. This thing doubles as a PS3 display.

The menu buttons are just awesome.

Nice contrast for a TN panel, though what #10 doesn't mention about the the sleek touch-sensitive buttons is they aren't tactile at all, someone who sets their menu once and forgets it will like them, while someone who continually adjusts their monitor won't.

Wondering if any one who owns this can comment on the text size. I tried a 23" with a 1920x1080 and the text was smaller than my current 19" @ 1440x900.

I was thinking of going with a 24" with 1920x1200 which I assume would be larger text. Thanks for any input.

      @#12,
If the text on your 23" 1920x1080 was too small, the same resolution on a 24" should be just slightly larger. If you want larger text, there are two solutions: using a display with a lower native resolution, or adjust the font size in windows (assuming you're using windows).

      see here:

The text size difference isn't much between those two alternatives, especially because your extra 1" diagonal includes more vertical pixels.

On a fairly large screen size that's just the tradeoff one makes or else things besides cleartype fonts start looking too pixelated. teqvexed overlooked one other option, move the monitor closer to you.

      #12 Try a larger vertical.... 1920 x 1200... or you might to live with a 19" (4 by 3) 19" screen.
