was going to get this one, instead I paid $30 more bought Dell UltraSharp U2311H 23-inch Monitor, which has very good reviews!
i own this monitor and i'm generally satisfied. i primarily use it for work and recreation (web browsing, viewing video/pictures and gaming). i have not had any compatability issues so far with the non-standard resolution of 2048 x 1152 resolution. the usb hub is a nice feature although i had some issues early on with windows 7 hanging at boot while waiting to recognize devices attached to the hub. that problem just went away so i assume it was solved through a windows 7 udpate. i have not had much use of the webcam so i'm not able to comment on its functionality.
the one "con" that i would mention is that it takes a long time for dell to deliver this monitor. for me it took almost a month from ordering to arrival via free shipping. dell explained that this monitor is not assembled until it is ordered. i initially attempted to cancel my order but dell convinced me to wait by giving me a $30 price reduction ( to the then current $209 sale price).
#2, screw the $30 price reduction, I would have insisted on a BJ!
warning... this monitor has a glossy screen.
I ended up buying the Samsung 2343 with the same resolution.
#3 - #6 will give you one.
