After 5+ years, my 2001FP croaked. I really liked the aspect ratio, which was really good for portrait use (documents) and internet (less scrolling), while filling the screen with a whole website. All the new monitors are widescreen, which doesn't cut it for me. BTW, I got a great buy on the old one: $629!
this is still 16:9 not 16:10, and its glossy (deal breaker for me). but this is the best price I've seen on it.
I'm running a Samsung 2343 as my primary display at work - same screen size and resolution as this Dell. I love it, and actually make use of the horizontal real estate for several of the things I do.
#1, why don't you pick up an UltraSharp 2007FP?
Did it expire already? I'm seeing $319.

The Samsung 2343 is OK for $219 @ newegg, but the dell has HDMI and a better stand.
What do you think about the Samsung TOC:
Samsung T240HD TOC-Touch of Color 24" LCD
its at $270 right now at Buy, and also was at newegg for same price last week.
They have it for $249 now vs that $229 1-day sale. I'm not sure how long the $70 instant savings will last this time. In for one, the $16 CA recycling + tax kinda sucks though.
