The reviews aren't even that great... Red tint? Dead pixels?

Friend has this. My Gateway FPD2485w that I got from (gasp) Best Buy for $300 + tax look better and auto-rotates for those long, portrait pron sites that everyone likes so much.

#1, because ever since Dell started NOT allowing the Ultrasharp 24" monitors to be added to bundles, you cannot get this for ~$300 anymore.

Only the crap TN 24" panel is now offered on Bundles, thus making this a full price-only separate purchase now.

I think the reign of the Dell UltraSharp 24" is over when they intentionally killed all the deals.

      Look for another monitor...

Also.. they stopped making/buying/using the far superior baconPS panels and I believe these are now all x-MVA panels. Stil much much better then TN, but nothing like baconPS.

the only ways to solve this problem is to not buy dell monitors until the price arrives at a reasonable amount.

Are there any panels with similar specs that says this is too expensive? 3000:1 contrast, 110% color reproduction?

If this is just recreational bitching, then all-righty then.

How do you get 110% color reproduction? Make some up new colors?? Isn't the visible light spectrum a fixed quantity unless your superman?

actually, this should go down on sale much later. I noticed the cycle of each new model starting at around this price (this is the 08 version). If you don't need an LCD yet I suggest waiting until LED lit LCDs go down in price.

Of course there's the economy factor that may effect things...

#11 - does that mean there is a fixed quantity of real numbers between 0 and 1? I don't quite understand your logic.

True pwnage. Obviously, what was meant was there is only 100% possible. I do promise to give a 110% effort at work sometimes.
