Good price for this monitor, I would expect these to keep dropping in price thru Christmas.

I remember buying my 17 inch Dell Monitor around $150 few years ago. This is a decent deal considering it's a Dell. Smile I ended up getting a replacement from Dell for my previous dell monitor which had stopped working.

Man I remember I got my 20" standard monitors for $400. It is crazy how much the prices have come down on these.

BF ads are out, deals are all on 19" or smaller. Good prices but nothing to get up at 4 am about.

This is an excellent deal; I'd say go for it while the coupon code is still valid.

whats the difference between this monitor and the other (non-budget) monitors from Dell? Is it just the number and type of inputs?

#12, the ultrasharp 2208WFP 22" has a 3 yr warranty, no dead pixel guarantee, fully adjustable/rotatable stand, usb ports, but probably same quality panel for ~$225.

There is also a SP2208WFP with a built-in cam, but is usually $350.

There is also a newer S2209W 1920x1080 22" for $239, but based on its price, I don't expect much. The main difference is it is HDTV aspect and resolution.

Just remember it is Analog (VGA) so the quality might be a factor here...

#16, it's got DVI and VGA ports. I don't know why Dell calls these analog.

I know this is for the 22" but what about the 19" that is on sale for $125. Is it ok for gaming like Farcry and COD? I currently have a 17" CRT with a Asus 9600GT card. Not looking for anything larger then what I have now, just need the widescreen aspect for using with Cool Edit Pro. What's the difference between this and the ultrasharp 19"? The only difference I see is USB and height stand adjustment as the rest of the specs look identical.

Oh and the Dell deadpixel warranty is for any stuck pixels not dead pixels. Someone on another forum mentioned it. Is the Samsung warranty any better?
