All monitors are led backlit..what's special about this one?
all monitors are NOT led backlit, so the led backlighting is what makes this one special
I wish they'd stop wasting LED backlighting on TN panels.
TN... pass. eIPS 22" for $210 once in a while.
LED backlit means lower power requirements. TN panel, so too not good for graphic artists and gamers. probably fine for general office use or watching DVDs.
I've done professional level design & retouching work on a Dell Ultrasharp TN panel monitor without any issues, whatsoever. I think people put too much stock in needing IPS. As long as you aren't viewing things at odd angles, their monitors are pretty damn good. The only thing I dislike is that they have moved to that cheap looking stand; the old metallic Y stand was vastly superior.
LED backlit is worse for your eyes though, no?
which one would you choose, this one or ST2410?
Also, I have a lenovo T400, does this or any LCD monitor will be compatible with my laptop?
