Don't know about the mini 10v, but the mini 9 lasts just short of 4 hours. I think the 'v' is very close to the mini 9 in specs. So you can probably expect similar.

Most of the N270's will have trouble with 720HD out of the box. Try the KMPlayer. Install it, go into settings and tell it to use the CoreAVC codecs rather than its own when playing MKV files. Also, it will have to be on the maximum performance setting (will shorten your battery life, of course. Also, it still won't play 1080.

Also, if you can, upgrade your ram as much as you can. 1gb is alright, but 2gb would be better, obviously...

The mini9 sometimes does have problems with YouTube because the stock hard drive is SOOOO frickin' slow that it has trouble writing and reading that fast at the same time (processor is nowhere near saturated). Allowing the video to completely cache solves this, as does upgrading the HD. I really doubt the Mini10v would have this problem since I believe it uses traditional HD.

RKLE do you ever post anything meaningful? You always post some sentence fragment with 2-5 words that is never helpful, and sometimes inappropriate. I guess you're just a post whore... <_<

Most of the people that buy a netbook are not going to be calling tech support. And posting "no deal" is OH SO informative. Why not tell us WHY it's no deal for you?

this is a nice computer. the problem is that the trackpad is infuriating to use. if it had the same one as the mini9 it would sell all over the place. the keyboard, however, is great.
