Bought one of these for testing. Powered it up, used it for 5 minutes, was so frustrated with Win7 on a tablet powered it off and it will sit in my file cabinet until Win8 drops.
It's a shame you can't return the dud, #1. Dell is never going to support an old device's upgrade to Win8, and I doubt that things are standard enough for Windows Retail to work decently. In my experience, it doesn't take much to break sleep support on a PC, and any slip there makes a tablet worse than frustrating.
