I donno, could be good for something, like small projection displays that are always on... the LED light source lasts a lot longer than the usual bulbs... but, I imagine it will be really dim...

    Rated at 50 ANSI Lumens.

Our regular conference room projector is something like 1500 ANSI Lumens.

I think any ambient light would interfere with it at a mere 50 ANSI Lumens! Probably ok for when you want to view something in complete darkness, though.

There is no way to compare these in terms of Lumens with a big normal sized projector. I have the older Mitsubishi Pocket Projector which is much like this in ratings, and 50lumens is plenty bright enough for a decent sized room with the lights dim or dark.

Would you want this as your main home theater projector? Probably not. But it does make some awsome on-the-go projection and big screen capabilities. Case in point, brought my Mitsubishi on a trip with some friends along with my Wii. Hooked it up in the hotel room, and we had instant 100inch Wii projection on the hotel wall, was awsome! So yes, there is a definite time and place for these things, and they work wonderfully for their size, but don't expect to use it in a brightly lit room or shooting accross 100's of feet of floorspace onto a wall. All the same, the wide angle lens means this projector can be MUCH closer to the wall and still give the same screen size (100inches or so) as a bigger projector from much further back in the room.

Wow, the powerbrick is bigger than the projector. I'm impressed.
