Yes, it has a built in video that's barely good enough for internet surfing. If you are getting this for a desktop, DON'T!
The mod for the SC420 8x to 16x is for a 16x slot that was spaced out for a 8x.
The T105 slot is a 8x and does not fit any 16x other than using a riser card. There is no mod for it!
I was going to mod this for a desktop but now I have no choice to use it for a server. The video on this system is for SERVER use ONLY!
Why would you buy a server to use as a desktop? Would you use a screwdriver as a hammer?
Wow, who'd a thought the video card on a server would only be good for a SERVER.
This is a decent low-end server and will work fine for FTP, Internet, Files or Print. Dell workstations are so cheap now, not worth trying to convert a server. Since the SC420, Dell has shutdown any hopes of creating a decent desktop from their servers.

I bought an SC400 which matched the specs of a desktop from Dell that cost quite a bit more. Back then you could add a decent video card and you had to buy windows but it still came in well under a comparable Dimension.
No longer.

be carefull with these dont think you can use any raid cards besides theirs. so if you wanted to add more drives you will have to buy their card, and there goes that deal.
Just get any PCI video card and you have powerfull workstation... $15-30 for dual DVI head ATI
Lots of folks miss the "server" part of that "server" designation.
A PCI video card -should- help, though.
I have an SC420 that I never bothered to mod (long story). Added a PCI card- an Nvidia 5300 or something like that. I helps a LOT. The built in video may have Direct X 9 or 10 but I doubt seriously that it has more than 8 or 16 megs of dedicated memory, probably none (probably just shares main board memory). Even the crappy 5000 series PCI card has 128 megs and runs as a much higher clock speed. Not a gaming rig by any stretch, but you could play casual games, older 3D stuff w/ no problem and do most any other thing you'd want to do w/ this machine.
Will your experience be the same on this machine? Who knows. But the system itself is so much faster than my old 420 that I have to believe the overall experience would be better.
