If I wanted a Dell 19" monitor I would just go sit in my home office and stare at one.

And by 'my home office' I mean, my neighbors house.

And by 'my neighbors house' I mean, I'm watching you....

It was $113 yesterday. Drop to $94 today. Should give this to Charity Mr. Dell. Nobody wants this.

Wow since when CA-eWaste increased to $16, I thought it was only $6-$8

Since there's nothing wrong with this monitor, I'm buying one.
    Thanks Ben.

Nothing's wrong with this monitor. In fact, it has gotten great reviews. It's just that it's a 19". Hardly anyone wants a 19" any more.

CA raised the e-waste prices when 2009 came.

$16 for environmental fee makes this $117.34 with tax and all. Seems like not much of a deal anymore. Is the $16 fee charged for dell only or for all e-stores and B&M stores?

I'd probably get it if it weren't widescreen.

$16 is charged for all B&M stores in CA. E-stores are iffy. Out-of-state sellers who are not required to hold a California seller's permit or are not obligated to collect California use tax are not presently required to collect the fee. Consumers who buy from those retailers owe the fee to the state. Most major e-stores collect it.

It is very hard to avoid paying the recycling fee especially when you buy locally in California. California based e-retailers also charge this fee for monitors. Dell charges sales tax in California because they have a warehouse here. The merchandise you buy from them may not necessary be shipped here but they slap that fee and tax on you anyway.

DELL already drops the price to $130. The first coupon code doesn't work. The 5% one is OK. The price is $113 before shipping. You neeed at least $129 to ship free. Don't know much about the enviromental fee. I'd rather wait for a 22" deal.
