I LOVE the new trend - smaller panel sizes with higher resolutions instead of the opposite that we've seen over the last few years. Viewsonic has one with nearly identical specs.

seems like a nice deal, best resolution i have seen for a 22". ultrasharp dell has a nicer stand you can at least adjust the height. with this one i don't think you can.

Whatever happened to the response-time arms race that was going on for a while? 16, then 8, then 5, then 2...what stopped further dev? Was there just not the demand?

the thing that i have found with dell monitors is that there will always be a better deal out there, once every 3 months they come out with a deal like this.

It's perhaps a good deal if you like to watch HD movies on your pc. But how many people do that? I think most would be better served by a 22" with 1680x1050 native resolution.

Personally I would much rather have a 22" with 1920x1080 than a lower 1680x1050 resolution. I like that I get more onscreen and I don't mind everything being smaller.

I'll wait for the 24" to hit this price. I'm a patient consumer.
