The other dell 22" ultrasharp 2209WA does not use a TN panel. It has an E-IPS and is quite nice. Only problem that some people might have is that it does not have 1:1 Scaling. So running a 1080p source to the monitor will result in an unusual looking picture.
However, as long as you're just planning on using it as a computer monitor can't go wrong with the 2209WA
This monitor does indeed come with a height adjustable rotating stand, but definitely avoid this panel if you want to spin it 90 degrees and use in vertical orientation. I set some up that way in doctor's offices, and you have to sit just right for it to look ok. Lean one way or the other in the chair, and the vertical viewing angle on this TN panel kills you. The Ultrasharp 2209WA is marginally more expensive and is a much better monitor.
#7 is totally right. The stand is awesome, allowing you to tilt, pivot, and rotate, but putting it in a vertical orientation makes it tough to be in the *exact* right spot so letters aren't blurry.
I use a pair of Ultrasharp 19" monitors everyday at work and highly recommend them for heavy use. Easy on the eyes.
For everyone out there... Even though this is an ultra-sharp, it sill has a TN panel
#2 it is hard to find a dell monitor under 24" that doesn't use a TN panel now.

this is a nice monitor for the price, resolution is decent. the only downer i can see is the that stand isn't height adjustable.
Um, #5, because this is ultrasharp, doesn't it come with the height adjustable mount?
