This thing doesn't require dual DVI. Hence the cost.

Dual DVI != Dual-Link DVI. The 30" doesn't need two DVI cables, and most decent video cards are Dual-Link these days. There are many cards which can drive two 30" screens.

And the main reason for the price difference is that the 27" is new and the 30" is refurbished. Sheesh.
