Yeah basically no real reason to get this over the 3007.
Sure, if someone wanted larger resolution without sacrificing font size, this may be an 'alternative' solution, but then again, I'd just recommend him/her to get a pair of glasses..

Paying over $900 for a 1920 X 1200 resolution is pretty rediculous in my opinion, even if this panel is supposed to offer great color reproduction... Really, if you're really that desperate about accuracy, get a burp eizo.

So, at this price is the Dell Ultrasharp 30" a better choice? Once we get to the price of the 30" Dell, is that the best in the market?

Wouldn't buying the LG 42' 1080p HDTV posted earlier be a better deal? Also, i'm experiencing ghosting on my current monitor, can anyone give me some advice on how to fix this problem. My graphics card only has dvi ports and my monitor only has a vga so I have to use an adapter. Is that the problem?

He wants to know how to fix the screen itself. I recommend adjusting the ghosting setting.

Sorry about all these questions but i'm not too good with computers. The ghosting problem only happenes when i'm watching movies. As far as settings, i've adjusted them using the nvidia control panel and nothing seems to help. Btw, thanks for the help and future help you may give.

Ghosting is an inherent problem with the screen. There is no adjustment to fix it.

#3... you can want color accuracy without wanting to spend $1500-2000 on an Eizo. On the other hand, this probably isn't worth $250+ more than the 2408.

#5, buying an HDTV would be better (and cheaper for the size). A lot of HDTV's have VGA (and some have DVI) hook-ups, which make them a much better deal than this Dell.

#11, samsung makes high color gamut 1080p tv with 500,000:1 contrast ratio for about 2k onsale. (that is for a 40")

Ya, this monitor is nice but I was spend about 600 and that is it. I was also spend the extra cach and get the 30" monitor instead.
