Dell Outlet has the refurbished Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP 30 inch Wide-Screen Black Flat Panel Monitor for $1049 with free shipping. Subject to change without notice. Dell Home charges $1349 for a new one.

It will stun you with its 2560x1600 resolution, 11ms response time, and 400 cd/m2 brightness. Requires a DVI-D dual-link graphic card that supports WQXGA resolution. Here is a review and some user discussion on this monitor.

I got one about a month ago, similar price but I had a coupon code and free shipping, and returned it because there was just too much real estate especially if you have it on your desk and are sitting less than 2 feet away. Anyway, it was great for gaming but I preferred my 24" to this.

Yeah, if you're sitting right in front of it, 30" can be too big because the edges are off-angle. So for a workstation, if you want more real estate than 24", get multiple monitors and angle them, until someone comes out with a curved monitor. For further away viewing, the 30" would be sweet.

No, you actually need zero-point energy, to get it to run max rez. Nitrogen is sooooo 21st century.
