so if its refurbed, is it more likely that there could be a couple of dead pixels?

the war is on; 24" reaches $200 today. Fire sale on last few days of this year; Dell and peers must make the number or die! Hold your cash, boys!

    ps. Sony is broken!

This is a true 8-bit baconPS panel, better than s-pva and mva. Good deal if you need a nice big monitor.

why are people comparing this to HDTV? This is a computer monitor. no HDTV can touch this resolution for gaming, photo and video editing, etc.

    #20 -- When 30" monitors are $500, a 28" would need to be $300.

Reason being that a 28" 16:10 monitor has a screen that is 352 sq. inches and the 30" is 52 sq. inches larger (404 sq. inches).

Yeah, > $700 is still kind of steep. For a little more, you could pick up 2 24" PVA panels and have way more work space.

please ppl, lets just keep the topic on this monitor alone. #2 & #11: price vs size wise, monitor has always been more "expensive" than TV. Shouldn't compare 2 entirely different thing.

as of this monitor, i have seen it, works great, looks great, price is great. i would def get it if i dont already upgraded~

Why would ou pay this much for only a 30" when you can get a 42" 1080p for a similar price? Especially with computer that have HDMI output nowadays.
