I knew he'd eventually post this. I just ordered one for myself.
Seems they are making room for the 08 model and maybe even an 09 model. I wish the newer one would go down in price from its ridiculous $2000 current price.
11ms response time sucks. Especially for a monitor. My 42" LCD TV has a 3ms response time. I wonder if this monitor has ghosting issues?
#2 your TV has 3ms gray to gray, you definitely have higher black to white response time
so tempting.
So what is the REAL diference between this one and the 08 Model???? Other than the contrast Ratio,???
tempting
more connectors.
Actually I just picked one of these up last week (with the coupon that was listed here) for the same price. Now that I have calibrated it it is stunning. If you have a calibration device and want one of these (I do a lot of photo editing) the extended gamut on these is fine and the detail is amazing. I upgraded from a 21 inch Trinitron CRT (quite a good monitor!) and am still blown away. Well worth this price. This thing looks sweet!!!
budman! Damn liar! I ordered one last week too and it hasn't even shipped yet. Dell says threes delays. Damn liar!
I want one.... Can someone give me some money so I can get this so I can play WOW and have no life.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Only one digital input.
Still looking for a good upgrade for my 2001 FP.
Don't fall the marketing on response time (or contrast for that matter), do your own research. It's hard to find good info, but it is out there. It's more complicated than a single number as well, and the details really make a difference.
Sorry oscar5453... I got mine in one day. Yep, ordered it on a Tuesday afternoon and it was on my doorstep when I arrived home from work the next day. Besides, how can I take someone like you seriously?
I need to upgrade my graphic card for this monitor. What is a good and low-cost one, any suggestions?
YJC
Budman liar!! I chose regular shipping.
Ychenxx: Newegg does have the EVGA 9800 GX2 1GB of RAM for $219
Budman, I would have had a hard time imagining a one day delivery from Dell, but it just happened to me as well. I ordered the new Creative Zen X-Fi player from Dell and it arrived the next day. I have never had that luck from ANY vendor. I don't know how they are doing it, but it is impressive.
Same happened to me. I jumped on the 2707 deal a few days ago and received the monitor THE NEXT DAY. This is standard shipping too... I was shocked and pleasantly surprised.
2707 > 3007
I jumped on the sale for the 2709. But hate the same resolution as my old 2407. So last week i ordered this monster. Anyone ever ordered this refurbished?
2709> 3007
stfu #18 u really sound like a moron

Mine was refurbished and yes, I was extremely surprised that this arrived in one day. My order actually had stated that it would arrive in approximately 5 days. Yes, impressive. Even more impressive? My LCD appeared to be like new, had zero dead pixels, and after being calibrated, looks spectacular! Thanx Ben! Thanx Dell!
