It will stun you with its 2560x1600 resolution, 11ms response time, and 400 cd/m2 brightness. Requires a DVI-D dual-link graphic card that supports WQXGA resolution. Here is a review and some user discussion on this monitor.

Is 11ms normal for a monitor this size? I usually see them a lot lower, but I haven't been using 30" monitors...

Very nice monitor, but only for those who absolutely need the pixels ( photographers, designers, ... ).

agree with #2 about the photographers, but besides that,
why in the name of Holy Hell would you spend 800 bucks on this instead of a sharp/panny deals that's been on ben's recently?

good for programmers too. think about how many lines of code you could display at once. and then if you went dual. sweet.

to #1, the dell ultrasharp isn't a typical TN Panel LCD like most other montitors. The lower end TN panels are geared towards consumers, with lower response times but poor color and viewing angles, this monitor is meant for photographers, designers, etc where color rendition is more important than response time.

I agree with #9. I can get a refurb 47" LCD TV with DVI input and 6ms response time for the same price. I'd rather play WoW on 47" than 30"... Screw photography and design...

#9 and #10 obviously have never worked with a 2560x1600 resolution. i used to work in the video game industry and we used these exact monitors to demo games at E3.

Sweet, you can get a bigger TV with a lower resoliution!? That will look awesome! There is a reason computer monitors and TVs are not always interchangeable.

True and their 3008 30" model is just ridiculous at a price of $2000.

Its like the difference between a gorgeous pair of 34C tits, perky, supple, and round...

    ...versus....

a massive gross pair of 36DDD tits that sag to the knees w/ pancake big toes and eruptions of pimples and rashes.

Wrong #11, I have this 30" dell at work. Its nice and all but not practical. I'd rather have 2 or 3, 22" monitors

#15, i said i used it to demo games at a large scale conference. it was damn good for that purpose. I agree and I would not want a 30" on my desk... my neck would start hurting.
