Can the built in card reader handle SDHC memory cards or only older SD cards?

A 1080P LCD TV is easier to drive with most video cards. Plus, the built in tuner means you can watch TV when the computer is off. Then again if you have the money for this kind of thing, maybe consider a 4870 X2 to go along with it.

"#37 - you're a troll. no one looks into such a product and price range and remains that clueless. they do their research first before discussing purchase."

Okay, first of all, wtf is a troll?
Second, if you don't have any useful info take your pointless attacks somewhere else. I simply asked a question. $809 is not much money to some people. Also, your ridiculous assessment that "no one looks into such a product and price range and remains that clueless" shows how clueless you are. Apparently, on whatever planet you come from, everyone is the same. Excuse the hell out of me for asking a simple question and thanks for taking the timn to insult me.

A few things about this monitor since I have them at work:
    1. They are the much crisper ultrasharp panels - not the TN panels. This means they are *considerably* better image quality/sharpness. They are the best panels made.

    2. This is the older 30" ultrasharps from dell. They are very nice, but they don't have the color range that the newer, more expensive 30" have. That and

    3. Another difference between this and the more expensive 30" ultrasharps are they do not have anywhere near the array of component, composite, HDMI/etc connectors.

    4. They are amazing for coding on. I have a 24" at home and the 30" at work - and they are a real joy to write code on.

    5. They would be overkill for someone that just wants to game or watch tv on it - but they would be beautiful.

The built in reader does NOT seem to be able to read SDHC cards. Just SD. Maybe the newer model has an updated card reader. I don't know.

There's also a big difference between TV LCD's and Monitor LCD's in terms of picture quality when displaying something from a computer. You have the whole dots per square inch thing, backlighting, and screen adjustments geared towards computer viewing on a monitor.

Trust me, you would notice a difference in your games between a 30" 1600p screen and a 47" 1080p screen. Some people prefer quality over quantity, or "razor sharp images, detail, resolution, well adjusted backlight for game or image viewing" instead of "pretty good image quality on a big set".

Not to mention, this is a bit big, but still capable of being a monitor for your desktop, whereas a 47" screen you will be sitting several feet away.

Higher rez just means things will generally look better. Bigger screen with the same rez just means things will get bigger, and the larger it gets the worse things will look.

Get a clue before you start boasting about a 47" LCD TV, you could also argue that with this money you could get a 1280x1024 LCD Projector which could put up a 200inch screen. But obviously that is not the main point of this monitor, it's a great size with super high resolution and LOTS of window real estate. Just because your screen gets bigger, doesn't mean you will have more room on the desktop to open programs and windows on. Rolling Eyes

#35, you are as dumb as you are ugly.....1600p will make the picture sharper and more defined, assuming your source is 1600p. But for computers this is one of the best and moreso forr gaming.
