utharay, you are out of your mind. Even the Auria 27" at Micro Center, 2560x1440, is $400 and it is not near as good as this Dell. I have the Auria because it was so much cheaper but the stand only tilts. $500 to $550 would be a better dream. I am waiting for PC gaming laptops to start using this pixel DPI; the MacBooks have for at least 6 months now.
Looks like new models are coming out so probably clearing this out. This is already $350 off their regular price on this model. Even there Ultrasharp series have different grades, if you will. There's another 27" for less that doesn't have the features or pro quality like Adobe RGB set at factory, etc. Great monitor but the average user wouldn't need it ...or gamer. Plus, 3 year exchange warranty, Zero Bright Pixels: Under Dell's Premium Panel Guarantee2, you will receive a free panel exchange should even one bright defective pixel appear on the screen during your Limited Hardware Warranty3 period. This sort of thing...
i got my capleap for $280 several months ago when they went on sale.. granted the stand is a POS but u can swap that out for a $30 tilt/rotate monitor arm from monoprice.
these LG 1440 SIPS panels are great.. just remember you need a dual link DVI cable and a graphics card capable of driving it.
Monoprice's IPS 27" LED monitor. I don't know its quality and it sold out right away, but it is under 400 and could really do something to shake up the prices of IPS displays...
Needs to come into the $300 range - sorry Dell
$300 for a 27" 2560 x 1440? Where can we get such a deal?
