Dell Business has the Dell UltraSharp U2711 27" Monitor for $1099 - 25% off with coupon code N8G$2XMH4QM6FF [Exp 5/24] = $824 with free shipping. Puts 1080p to shame.
2560 x 1440 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 6ms response time
80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, IPS panel, 12-bit color processing
Don't buy this unless you have a NEED for such a high resolution like CAD, CAM, etc.
The colors on this display look artificially strong, to the point where annoy you when watching movies. Also, the text is way too small at it's native resolution which makes everyday usage painful. My Sandy Bridge 2600K @ 4.6ghz / ati 6950 had a tough time driving this resolution on most websites that weren't just email. Switching it down to 1080p is a bad idea - beats the purpose of paying so much and text is quite blurry.
I'd suggest the Mac 27" lcd instead if you truly need this resolution, buy an adapter to interface it - colors are much more natural and though it comes with a glossy screen, it does not have the grainy anti-glare coating that most people hate with this Dell.
25% of $899 = $824?????
Lame. It's 25% off the MSRP ($1,099.00).
I applied the code and it's a bust.

Yeah, this has the anti glare coating, it's good for if you have neon lights everywhere, but it makes it hard to read text.
