is that really a deal? change the title to Dell UtraSharp 1% off.
$1000 is Newegg's sale price today. The $10 off is a bonus.
Actually this is a decent deal. I paid about $800 for a refurbished unit about 2 years ago (still going strong). $990 for one of the better monitor's out there is reasonable. Great picture (IPS panel) and a huge amount of real estate. I do a lot of photo editing and wouldn't know what to do if I took a step backwards now that I am used to the size and the quality.
This is a nice deal for this monitor. Still expensive, but its a great monitor.
Totally awesome monitor and yeah, over a $100 off the price is nothing to complain about. I own one and love it. Granted this is an expensive monitor, but if you are in the market for this size and quality, this is a great deal. I am tempted to grab a second one and set up dual 30"s! My wife would pobably not be very happy with me though... tempting nonetheless.
Anyone know of any good dual 30' support LCD mounts/stands? Chief KTP225 seems to be the only thing I can find and it is not cheap.
How is that apple is selling an iPad with screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 and some mediocre processor with other components and operating system for $500 and the new macbook pros have 2,880 x 1,800. I agree this Dell monitor is so called IPS technology but the price difference is not justifiable.
@ Wand. Some people have picky eyes, and it is worth it to them, Ultrasharp are usually priced fairly in comparison with competing brands. We only buy IPS due to the good contrast for people who stare at these many hours a week.
this is 2 expensive. Go search for a Yamakasi or a Achiva on ebay for half this price
