i purchased one a couple of years back and it has been a great monitor.

now when i am forced to use a smaller monitor its such an inconvenience as desktop realistate is limited.

2560x1600 resolution is addictive! I tried a 30" and it found it too big for desktop use. I am very happy with my 27" Korean monitor, under $300 shipped on eBay (search ACHIEVA Shimian QH270). Same panel as the Dell and Mac 27's. Much info on the web concerning quality, relaibility, and user satisfaction of these monitors.

110W 30" CCFL monitor for $1000 or 30W 32" LED TV for $450 that works fine as a monitor. Tough choice. Unless you're obsessed with the gamut range or pixel density, choose the TV.

^ Pixel density can be pretty important.

I'd rather a 24" 1080p monitor than a 32" 1080p for desktop use if I had to pick between the two, if all else including price were equal.
