      It might be because this is a professional grade monitor. LEDs backlights aren't color acurate; this monitor will not use LEDs until the technology improves.

      @ btc909, Finally? This resolution has been available since 2006. But I can tell you're too cool for such a monitor. It's colors are better than perfect in most categories, show me 1 LED that's better in ANY of these:

      102% NTSC (CIE 1931) color gamut,
      100% sRGB (CIE 1976) color gamut,
      99% Adobe RGB (CIE 1976) color gamut,
      117% (CIE 1976) color gamut,
