I'm so in need of another laptop. My previous one just died (especially after I took it apart). I was serioiusly contemplating on those previous HP i7 coupon deals, but it became invalid. After looking at this one, I'm still unsure on what to get and for how much. Any inputs would be appreciated. I wish this came with or had the option of BR. What is better? A slower quad core or faster dual core? I tend to be using it for multi-tasking, movie viewing and ripping; gaming not so much, but always good to have that option available.

The Intel i7 is their latest series processor. A system with an i7 will likely come standard with 6GB RAM (at least from what I have seen). And while the Core series processors are still the mainstream, they are last generation. So if you want latest and greatest, go with the i7. Be patient - you'll see another coupon within a few days. If you want more of a bargain, go with a Core series system.
