      I still say use "AFLAUD25" on the 1909 and get it for only $487.

      1709 has NO AUDIO over HDMI
      I don't think it unconverts all the video signals to 1080p either.

      I go straight from the component to the TV, then run the audio out from the TV to the receiver. That way everything on the TV comes through the receiver. Xbox, wii, dvd, dvr, cable, etc..

      btw, I want this.

      #1, yeah spending a extra $250 sounds like a reasonable idea?!?

      BTW, I love my Denon AVR-787 receiver.
