So I have many dewalt tools and I need an angle grinder...is this a good price? should i get dewalt or will that be overkill for occasional use?

It's a good price for the brand, but if you're not going to use it much I have a harbor freight grinder that I paid $20 for and haven't been able to kill in 3 years. It vibrates more but worth every penny. Dewalt is a superior tool though.

Don't be fooled and think you save $25 .Amazon /home depot /Lowes daily price is around $60 - You actually save less than $10.

To #4 : hi Ben - That might be right- But I just don't like this kind of business practice : seller jack up the price, give huge rebate/discount and mislead buyer as a deal. maybe you are ok with that but not me.
Current Amazon price drop to $57.99 Since I need to pay tax so my saving shrink to about $3 if I get from NE. That's not much saving and Amazon does provide better return policy ( free return) than Newegg...

^^ but that's still saving you $3 and for decades this is how it has been with large merchants. An item has a normal price then sometimes it goes on sale for a lower price.

Newegg's pre-coupon $75 price was still lower than the $111.32 that Amazon shows as the list price, and soon Amazon may also end their sale and list it with a higher price than $58... they only had 6 units left the last time I looked.

Ben : Now days not many people really care listing price or MSRP price. I only care what's regular sale price ( daily price ) and on sale price.
$3 difference is kind of small for me and as long as I don't need it right away- this is not much a deal for me.

    Ghost Rider,
dave_c isn't Ben. Ben bailed on us a few years back with his big bag of money. whether $3 isn't enough of a savings for you is irrelevent...you already admitted that you don't need the item. For those of us who do need the item, I'll take the 3 bucks and put it in my wallet, thank you.

Now, prease STFU, you sound more and more bacon challenged every time you post.

#9 dave_c is Ben. If you ever check the forum site ( not the front page side) You will see Dave-C post is actually posted by Ben.
Sure I don't need it right away since it is not much a bargains. When even it is a bargain- I will buy it and resell it even I don't need it for myself.
BTW, watch your language and keep this place clean.

Hi Ghost Rider, dave_c is dave c. There's a glitch in the forum that we're trying to correct.

Ben is no longer involved with the day-to-day operations of the site. When he comments, he will show up as Ben on the front page.
