Amazon has the Diamond MP700 HD Media Wonder Mini Media Player for $26 - $10 rebate [Exp 4/30] = $16 with free shipping. Features USB port and SD slot and support for RM, RMVB, MPEG, and MP4 videos.
most of the time the reason people dont get their rebate is that they fail to follow directions which results in their rebate being rejected then they flip out and try to blame the rebate processor for their own damn user error.
the AR price is right for what it does.
dont expect the compatibility and all the features that WD and roku have though.
User error regarding rebate rejection is true, however, these companies don't exactly make the process of redeeming these to be more simpler and could be even more clearer especially when there's zero margin for error.
In a way the model itself relies on the assumption that most rebates will be tossed, hence sales from consumers lured in by the advertised low price tag that bought an item they probably wouldn't have otherwise purchased.
I choose not to participate in this process myself, been burned too many times for the most trivial things and I am a thorough person myself.
yup, if you do rebates, youd better better be able to follow directions to the T.
the ones that have the address label that you cut out of the rebate page tend to get people invalidated as people dont follow the directions and affix the label to the envelope.
^ I just shrink myself down till the rebate form seems huge.
#4, it's not that bad. Rebate form stipulates to fill out web form at following link, enter promo code 2862 and product MP700, fill in usual customer info, print form and Amazon receipt, clip UPC and mail them all in. Pretty standard stuff except instead of filling in a form with a pen you're typing it.
Note this is the last day purchases qualify for the rebate.
Amazing price but average reviews and chances are, you'll never get that rebate.
I bought this a while back and got my MIR...
