EverydaySource has the Digital Coin Counting Jar for $17 - $12 off with coupon code S0226KQSU [1000 uses] = $5 with free shipping. Lid of the bank identifies the coin and sums the value of the deposited coins on the LCD.
So this seperates the coins into the paper sleeves so you can deposit them into your bank account right? Or would you rather unscrew the lid & dump your coins into those coins for cash machines & pay that fee?
Seriously though.... I go through a lot of change and I eventually throw it into a very large empty wine bottle. But because of the OCD, I've never been happy with that. I NEED to know how much I throw into that jug $5 is a cheap price to scratch that itch.
From my past experience these things jam up and break. The only reliable ones are the commerial grade ones like banks have. My bank has one like "coinstar" but its free. Like #2 above, I too have a lot of change at the end of the day and I throw mine into an empty water cooler bottle. One time I took several hundred dollars in change to the bank and a teller had to come out and empty the machine like a dozen times. Needless to say the people waiting in line to use it were po'd!
Bottom line: This one may be ok for occasional use like kids and such , but for heavy (adult) use, I'd look elsewhere.
pretty cool

I imagine that it could be an incentive for children to save.
#2 the fee is waived if you get a gift card. And the gift cards cover just about every store you would shop at.
#2 - I'm in for one, so I am laughing at you.

I think the real question should be whether or not this thing works.
