I check tires every few months. Why not? Get optimal pressure for at least winter and summer so you don't waste gas, lose traction, or have irregular or premature tire wear.

Decent deal, you can pay about this (close enough) for one with a worse grip and display. Don't know if this one has an easily replaceable battery though, on some they use a CR2032 coin cell and glue the casing shut so it's practically trash in single-digit # of years even if you never use it.

Looking at the picture, it does seem to have easily removable batteries, as they aren't even installed yet.

#6, you are not serious! How do you read the temperature if you shove the whole thing up?

No point in getting a battery operated gauge. The stick ones work fine and tend to be accurate within a lb./sq.in or so. If you want a bit more accuracy, get a dial gauge that's driven by a bourdon tube. Either of these can sit in your glovebox or tool box until you need it. No batteries to run down.
