DirecTV is offering packages starting at $30 per month with 24 month agreement. The entry-level Entertainment Package includes 140+ digital channels, free standard installation and one HD DVR. For another $5 / month, the Choice Package offers NFL Sunday Ticket and 150+ digital channels.
It's worse than that, only the first 12 months are at $30/mo, then the price jumps to $60+ a month for the next year. So your average price per month is ~$45 per month for their cheapest package. The only way you can get $30/mo for the whole time is to quit after the first year, then the last year is only $30/mo without any service.
I'm sick of Directtv. They keep nickeling and diming me to death. Have my OTA antenna up and ready. Now I need an internet box like the roku that will take and OTA input also. One box for internet and locals.
Also, you have to watch your bill like a hawk. I cancelled the NFL Sunday ticket last season when I signed up. Then, without notice, it showed up on my bill and got automatically debited from my account. If I hadn't seen it, I would have paid for channels I never watch.
24months, how about you just go month to month and ala cart channels....then we might use you, this is a fu cking joke.

Just say no to "Pay to watch commercials" TV contracts. It's major waste of money and time...
Hell Dish is mining email addresses and customers through bogus Blockbuster accounts. They suck too.
