#17's Installer is definitely brilliant... this get's you (homeowners) out of the way so he can slap up your dish and cable anyway/anywhere... while your slap'n his hoe.
By that point it's his 16th install and he was ready for lunch.
And no one has answered my question yet... I wasn't asking about Dish or DirecTV... I was asking about the 3rd-party site that's offering the deal. Anyone ever use them?
#22 I ordered it from SatelliteSales.com, similar to AllSat. I think these folks just accept the order and pass it on to DishNetwork for installation and service. I too had a tough time with the installation and then had some billing issues. Customer service sucks. I have couple of HD receivers(1 with DVR) and one SD-DVR. For the price I pay, overall it's not bad. Only problem I see is that it takes a few seconds when you switch channels (as compared to the quick response with the cable connection I had before).
#5 I tried calling dish a few times and told them their salesperson is offering one thing and signing up people for something else. They say "sorry about that" but do not give me the terms I agreed to. Maybe enough people are spineless enough to just accept the bill whatever it is that they make more money this way.
plugged in a usb drive to dish DVR box and message said call this number it needs to be "activated" I called and they charge 39.95 to turn on hardware I already own. screw them!
Would not recommend Dish Network AT ALL. Horrible Support. Shotty equipment.
Get what you pay for.
