Dish Network has their DishDVR Advantage DHA-24 package for $33 per month, with free HD DVR upgrade, 1 year of cinemax for 1 penny, free 3 Months of HBO and starz, free installation.
DirecTV is offering an introductory rate of of $30/month for a 1-year commitment. Includes 150+ digital channels, up to 4 room installation included.
Free HD DVR but the $33 package doesn't cover HD channels or HD service. To get that, it's $44 or $49 with the DVR charge included. Also, you won't see my infomercials on Dish Network, so you really should stick with cable.
I stopped my TV subscription when my bill reached $170/mo. I was getting phone, internet, digital channels, HD channels, movie channels, and DVR. What did I watch? NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX... Once I realized that I could just watch these over the air, I cancelled everything and now just have phone+internet through my phone company. Saves me $120/mo. Until they stop charging extra for HD and DVR, I'll just watch my 6 crystal clear HD channels for free.
i'm still on cable .. mine went up to the $170.00 i called and they gave me they repeated th $99.00 bundle for all 3 services for a year ... no dish for me this time around
BAD LINK or EXPIRED -- doesn't bring you to a Dish Network page describing such an offer. (come on Ben let's get with it!)

I'm missing the bargain part? Seems like Ben needs some Christmas $ from Dish Network
Ben posts these randomly this is customary, so people will see it.
"doesn't cover HD channels or HD service" that's what I need to know. Thanks for info. #1.

I was doing what #5 did.
Then I found a job.
Well, keep being a lackey to the man then #6.
I'm not sure of DHA-24 package, but they have turbo hd package starting $30 for new customer only - much less channels, though.
I'll switch to u-verse anyway.

If you have the time and patience, just call the cable company every 3 months and demand a better price.
