Droppage to $6.95! GoDaddy.com has .COM domain registration on sale for $6.95 for the first year (regularly $9) with coupon code cjcben695. They have good prices from a leading reputable registrar. Ends 2/29 midnight. If you've seen some of the other cheaper registrars, take note, as with many of them you don't actually own the domain you buy!

I've used 1and1 and godaddy over the years. Never had a problem with either of them.

I am just about to buy a domain name for myself.

From what I know, GoDaddy.com is one of the biggest domain name company in the world.

    How is 1and1.com?

    anybody has suggestion?

Both are good for registering names...I would pick 1and1 for hosting.

I signed up for 1&1 during their free 3 hosting year deal. I didn't like their webadmin tool nor their webmail interface. I use Godaddy now. Again, not perfect but it's good enough for me.

I prefer hostmonster's cPanel over these others. *smirk*

GoDaddy is good....just skip their "Super Size" offers during the order process.

1and1 blows. Godaddy is the one to go with. There is a learning curve especially for people like m0f0, but usually you can pick it up very quickly.

and you can always find coupons for discounts (even renewals) online.

I have been using Doteasy as a host but the domain costs are high. I haven't had problems with doteasy and their customer service is very good.

godaddy's marketing strategy is pretty wierd, showing one busty chick from WWE (who has her wrinkles removed by a laser surgery) for selling domain names.

Isn't it always 6.95 with a coupon code?
