That's comforting. I was fearing that orders placed after it was out of stock would be shipped instead of mine.

Excellent Bubb! Let us leave no lexicon unscathed!

I'm not so sure that enophiles are surfing this site, so if you don't know EXACTLY what this wine is you may be very disappointed. Some would consider this nectar, some swill.

    Buyer beware.

The wine isn't bad; the deal is.

I fell for this a week or so ago. They substitute the vintage year and short you one bottle, so as to charge shipping ($17+). I called and complained, and they said it would take at least two weeks to refund shipping.

    Beware--this is a shady outfit

Really #5? I got in on the deal last week also, however I received my order in 2 days and it was perfect. I got the vintage I wanted (2002), and the qty I wanted. I am very happy with the wine and the service from them. I am getting at least 12 bottles of this one. Thanks Ben.

#7 How was the wine? Did you like it? Did you drink it strait or did you mix with particular foods? I had an interest in the wine you purchased although I was too late.
I had a fantastic www.barefootwine.com Pinot Grigio($3.39) last night. For the price I was truly shocked at the quality and flavors it gave during my meal.

    Really.

Maybe I was late on the draw. However, the previous add said their cheapest bottle was $24.99, yet the list on this deal is $12.99.

The wine was great--the wife likes Merlot, and this was a big hit--but I am wary of the way they handled the change in the order. Suspect they're dumping their off brands, with the last one as a teaser for repeaters.

Hopefully I'm wrong and you score

#8, barefootwine are pretty good, but they are usually better for white ones then red wine's. As for last week's deal on here, the wine was great. I prefer medium bodied, not too dry type of wine and that one fit the bill. However, we didn't try it with any food. We had it in the evening before dinner. I could see myself having it with Dinner or snacks also.

I have already ordered today's deal, since it's from the same maker. Since I liked the last one and was only able to get 6 of them, I bought 12 of these. Can't beat it for less then $100 shipped to NJ with Tax.

#9 Yeah that is probably what happened. You probably were late to the show and got the next vintage available. It's very common for wine substitutions when buying wine online. The best way is to put in comments if you are ok with a Wine Substitution or not.

#11, I was just at a local bar that has some 70+ beers on tap. I don't recall the name of it now, but they have some bottle of beer available for purchase for only $72! It's the most expensive beer they have on the menu. I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to trying it...

#7, there is a burp checkbox that you can check that says "No substitutions" when placing your order. Doesn't anyone burp pay attention to any goddamned thing any more?

In other news, my case just arrived today... correct vintage, correct number of bottles. I'll let you know how it tastes tomorrow.

$72 is cheaper than Sam Adams Utopias. Cheapest I found online just now was $275.99.

#11 BEVMO has all the deals on beer! Check you local paper adds. I found a 30 pack of MGD for 11.99 the other day. Now that s a killer deal in my opinion. Great for BBQ's or just getting drunk.
The best deal on beer I learned during college was to have friends at the local bar or micro brew and have them hook you up.
Since I am done with college I have befriended a bartender at a local micro brew and so far he hooks me up pretty damn good with take home containers.

#16 are you sure the beer was included in the sale. The empty bottles alone go for that price.
