eBay with AltaTac has the Dorcy 41-4287 High Beam LED 100 Lumens Flashlight for $11 with free shipping. Priced around $17 and up in other stores. Projects a beam more than 130 feet, up to 3hrs run time, and weighs 0.27 lbs. [Amazon Reviews]
While this is not a "high" quality light, it's higher quality than generics and rated far more honestly. You won't find any light, no matter the price, that produces 250 lumens for 3 hours with this battery config. If you compare against generics/lies, you'll never get anywhere.
This situation has existed with flashlights long before LEDs were involved, only today they list them by lumens and when inferior generic lights do so, it is because that's a spec that's not regulated (enforced) legally so they feel they can get away with lying about it, then using excuses why it's ok that their spec is nowhere near accurate.
Beyond this some generics are a good value if what you want is high brightness with lesser runtime and lesser reliability, every application has its own requirements.
Go to Costco. 250 lumens, 150ft & up to 3 hrs for $19.99 for THREE less $5 discount right now!!
100 lumens, WOW!
