Might not be enough light to positively ID someone but enough to tell there's something out there and whether it's a kid vs adult vs some type of animal... if your inside lights are off or a window is open so those lights aren't reflecting off of it.

Remember 350 sq ft isn't much, the equivalent of an 18.7' x 18.7' area.
Uses 3 D cells but I wonder how long it would run from 3 x AA Eneloops in D-adapters... then again it would be trivial to wire it up to a DC wall wart or with such a low drain level, mount a little solar cell on top to recharge it... one of the few times a solar cell ends up really being a cost effective power source.

They don't put out a lot of light but it's enough for what I use it for which is as a security light for my shed.
