Today's completely nerdy dream computer is brought to you by Tiger Direct. They have a ludicrously priced Dream PC Core i7 980X Barebone Kit for $3800 - $30 rebate [Exp 3/31] - $20 rebate [Exp 3/31] - $20 rebate [Exp 3/31] - $30 rebate [Exp 3/16] = $3700 + shipping. Shipping ranges from $40 to $60 depending on location. For such a ridiculous price, you get the following:

  • Intel Core i7 980X Extreme Edition processor, Corsair HW50 cooling
  • 12GB DDR3 memory, 2 Geforce GTX 275 video cards in SLI, Blu Ray, DVD Writer
  • Two Intel X25-M 40GB SSDs in RAID config, one Seagate Barracuda 1TB, EVGA X58 mobo
  • Corsair Obsidian 800D Case, and a Corsair 1000 watt power supply

If I'm spending $3700 on anything it's gonna have at least 2 wheels and an engine and I'm gonna be able to ride or drive it around town. Anyone spending that kind of money on a computer (besides a business getting a server) is insane.

      Dream does't come true cheap!
Good :You have 5 companies + TD to support you build the system.
Bad is: Their support are non-exist and you have 5 companies to deal with your RMA

I remember when this site used to worth my time. Now it's just become filled with annoying non-deals on referbs and second class sellers. Maybe I see something that looks like a bargain then that's killed in a week or two when the same deal is offered again. What gives? Who hijacked this website???

This deal is cater to the rich and famous, like Donald Trump. Hmmm. I always thought (Where the getto dogs hang out at)? inexpencive bargains and save money, ect, ect.

Well!. Actually this is not bad of a deal, consider I bought a Positive PC 3000 When 2x cd-rom just came out in 1991 and paid $3000.00 cash. But! that deal includes a 15inch VGA monitor and a dot-printer as a complete set. Now it worth a penny, After I seen price drop so much in electronics I tell myself I would'nt spend more than 500 bucks per computer currently own 10 due to sites like this, deals after deals of-course this takes years not over night.

There's no need to buy something like this, unless you got money, money money or a stock trader of some sort, even a rocket scientest don't use this..

I am sure there's alot people like #7 built extreme machine, for less. Myself, I think I can chop a few hundred off the price if I do it myself. but got to modifiled some parts to cut cost..
