I use generic accessories on mine to save lots of money. Great tool, but Dremel accessories are overpriced!

I like mine. Perfect tool for small projects. Also helps if you're a big modder of consoles and computers.

14timmie: Generic is fine for bits but not accessories, because the shaft diameter/threading is almost always different. Can you supply either a generic-type rotary tool with same shaft, or adjustable chucks for non-Dremel tyes? (I can't find any)

I bought a battery Dremel Stylus years ago for $70, and find it a lot more useful than my corded tool. The Star-Trek phaser body is easy to hold in either a gun or rod grip. Battery life on the Stylus is nearly half an hour. The best feature is realizing how much time you used to waste finding an outlet and extension with a corded tool, with cordless you just set right to work.

If you still need a corded unit to sit about for longer jobs, a $30 Black & Decker is a good complement.
