I have good luck with Harbor Freight's equivalent, usually on sale for just under $20. I've bought about 4 now, some as gifts, and one was dead but promptly replaced. Their motors are usually 1.6A to 1.8A. I like their battery rechargeable one even better, at about double the corded price.
I have not purchased one yet. A contractor I talked to said the harbor freight one vibrated too slow.
