I bought one of these on Woot 2 months ago. I am still waiting for replacement parts to get it to work. It has never worked.

#4 - I'm sure it only needs 10 seconds to get you off.

Well for you maybe, but 5-6 minutes is perfect for the touch up I had *planned* to do with this. I'd rather have short intense power that I can actually do something with than long periods of mediocre suction that won't make me chowdah.

I have it...and it sucks. Not in the functional, self-evident sense of the word, but in the more colloquial "it barely works" meaning.

5 minutes of suction would be awesome. The battery lasts for only about 30 seconds before it dies. When it works, it's great, but it's utterly useless to have such short battery life.

I find myself dragging out the full-sized dyson for anything other than a miniscule spill.

      Not worth buying.

yup, that's what mine does. They have crappy customer service. They don't know the machine, they don't know what needs replacing. They replaced the body, then when that didn't fixt it, they said they will be replacing the charger, but that's been out of stock for the last 2 months and they don't know when they are getting more in. Eschew. Avoid. Run away.

So I guess this would make a bad Christmas gift for my mother who likes to clean?

If you're like me, you don't buy my mother anything for christmas. My awesomeness is gift enough for her. The knowledge that she birthed such awesomeness is all the life fulfillment she could ever hope for. In conclusion, I am more awesome than hand held vacuum cleaners.

      overpriced, useless piece of equipment.
I'll gut it and put in my mini-BFG hardware, that supports cell charges and nuclear power cores.

I might get this as a toy for the kids. They think it is one of the battle walkers from Star Wars.

That's great #11. I can't wait to tell my Mom that the privilege of birthing awesomeness is gift enough. Then I can buy more useless crap for myself.

Is the 5 minute battery time normal for the new (non-refurbed) as well?

I know a lot of Ghetto Dogs like to pooh-pooh Consumer Reports but this item was not rated highly by them amongst other handheld vacuums.
