Only 5 minutes?? Obviously, whoever the Dyson person that came with this does not have children or dogs.

I have had one of these for a couple years and it has been great. Yes I have kids and it great for a quick cleanup under the table in the pantry etc. It also has enough power to clean the inside of the car. It does have about a 5 minute runtime, but you can get a lot done.

5 minutes is pretty status quo for these things. They aren't intended to be used in any type of serious mess... just the crumbs and the like. It's mainly for the D people that can't stand having crumbs anywhere.

#19 yes the 5-6 minute use time is correct. It is intended for quick touch up around the house or car, not vacuuming for extended periods. I thought this was a good concept, but the execution stinks.

overpriced piece of crap. do not waste your money on this. Dyson and other vacums are not worth it.

great to hear all the oppininons guess ill be passing on this one and just using my attachement from my normal vac.

An update on my situation. Even though one service person told me "it's never the battery", another service person sent me a replacement battery which did fix the problem. The real problem is the service techs have been told "it's never the battery" so they won't ship one out, instead insisting on replacing every single other piece of the burp thing until the only thing left to replace *is* the battery. When I called back Dyson, when I told her it was the battery, her reply was "It's never the battery" and got her nose in the air. Hysterical. Can we get an upgrade on people please? People 2.0, "They're smarter!"
