Yeah, the trend to claim earth friendly on everything when all they wanted to do was lower their power bill and have a line-item marketing blurb gets annoying, but the silicon based non-stick surface is something I'd like to try out.
Seems some of the reviewers don't realize that no matter how high tech a non-stick surface is, if you overheat oil and end up with varnish then your non-stick surface isn't so non-stick anymore. Resist turning up the burners to reduce cook time with any non-stick cookware.
