Both myself and my fiance have a 5 gallon hex fish tank from Eclipse. Well we both had them but we stopped getting fish and only have two left and have put them in one tank as one of the filters stopped working anyway (after 2 years or so I think). The other is still running strong.

It works pretty well but I'd suggest getting at least a 10 gallon in most cases.

I have the three gallon version (just one betta). very nice tank, and this is a good price for the 6 gallon.

Would be nice to set up in your child's room or for a starter tank. Definately have to watch the number of fish though.

I had one of these for my betta and had no issues with it. Because of the small size, it would be a great starter tank or if it only housed a few small fish. The general rule I was taught was one gallon of water per inch of fish.

If you aren't ready for a real tank, stick with a goldfish bowl. Less can go wrong.

Do live fish come with this through the mail? Or are they in capsules and just add water?

No heater... and if you live anywhere with four seasons (NorthEast) that might be an issue.
