oh man. I could really use this. but the ECS that I have make me not want to: for one, the IDE slots don't work so I can only use sata. 2, there seems to be lags, sort of like turbo lag in a car, where the it can go really fast after the beginning wait period slum. So dont know if i can to get this. Also, I dont want to redo everything that would be a pain. So much trouble putting on the muddey and the CPU. and all the screws for the board ugh
this can really only be described as cheap
The consumer reviews at Newegg doesn't encourage me. I'm thinking of rolling the dice on this one.
You roll the dice with any ECS board. The brand is a synonym for crap. You can get a bargain from them, sure. But I'd never put one in a system I needed to rely on. I'd also never put one in a build for another person. I don't want the phone call and trouble shooting hassle of when it doesn't quite work right and they invariably blame the builder.
I've used this board for builds in the past. I haven't had any problems with it. I will say that the onboard graphics heatsink gets pretty damn hot, though.
The last ECS board I had failed due to some cheaply made capacitors on board, they actually started bloating up.. Hope they fixed that chinese made capacitor issue.
OK, I'll hold off #4. I'll wait to see what else comes along maybe a full size ASUS, ASrock, or Gigbyte board.
I use many ECS, No problems here. I heard of the Black Edition awhile back did'nt buy one, cause I don't think worth paying over 70 bucks then. 30 bucks A/R is a pretty good deal, got all my ECS rebates back in the past. Pick one up on BF got all other parts already..
#4 Where's the profit margin? If you don't start with the board first or you just charge labor??..
